At InnoCodia we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use innocodia.com or our plugins, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It covers only the sites and services we own and run. It does not cover companies or people we do not control, even when our site links to them.
Who we are
InnoCodia is a small studio that builds lightweight WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, including Better Badge. Our website is innocodia.com.
By using our website or our products you agree to this policy, alongside our Terms and Conditions.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to sell, deliver and support our plugins.
- Information you give us. When you buy a plugin, create an account or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address and, for purchases, your billing address. When you use our contact form we receive your name, email address and message.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our server records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use it in aggregate to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.
- Plugin usage data, only if you opt in. Some of our plugins can ask, inside your WordPress admin, whether you want to share basic, non-sensitive information about your site (such as its WordPress and plugin versions) to help us improve them. Nothing is sent unless you agree, and you can opt out at any time.
How we use your information
- To deliver what you bought. Processing orders, issuing license keys, delivering downloads and updates, and sending receipts.
- To support you. Answering your questions and fixing problems you report.
- To keep you informed. Sending important notices about your purchase, license or account. Marketing emails are only sent if you have subscribed, and every one includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To protect our customers. Preventing fraud and abuse, and keeping our site and products secure.
- To improve. Understanding, in aggregate, how our site and products are used.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run our business, and only for that purpose:
- Freemius processes our payments, manages licenses and delivers our paid plugins. When you buy from us, you give your payment and billing details to Freemius directly; we never see your full card number. Freemius has its own privacy policy.
- Payment providers used at checkout, such as card processors and PayPal, handle your payment under their own privacy policies.
- Hosting and email providers store our website and deliver our emails on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and purchase information for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it to provide licenses, updates and support. Some records, such as invoices, must be kept longer to meet legal and tax obligations. Messages sent through our contact form are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Cookies and local storage
Our site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies that it needs to work, for example to keep you signed in to your account and to secure the checkout. We also store your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it; this never leaves your device.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site, such as your account and checkout, may not work properly.
Third-party links
Our site and documentation link to other websites, such as WordPress.org, YouTube and our social media profiles. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Children’s privacy
Our products and website are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Security and data breaches
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections across our site. No system is completely secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law, as soon as we become aware of it.
Your rights
You can review and update most of your details at any time from your account. You can also ask us to:
- send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, except where we must keep it for legal, security or accounting reasons;
- stop sending you marketing emails.
To make a request, contact us. We will respond as quickly as we can, and within the time required by the law that applies to you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will also let customers know by email.
