These terms apply to every InnoCodia product, free or paid, and to your use of innocodia.com. By downloading, buying or using any of our plugins you confirm that you have read and accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use our products.
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
Product delivery
Our free plugins are published on WordPress.org and can be downloaded from there at any time, with no account needed.
Paid products are sold and delivered through our payment and licensing partner, Freemius. Once your payment has been received and verified, you get an email with your license key and download link, and the product is available in your account at innocodia.com/account. Payments can be made with the methods offered at checkout, such as major credit cards and PayPal; by paying you also accept the terms of the payment provider you use.
Occasionally a payment is flagged for manual review. When that happens, delivery can take anywhere from a few hours up to 24 hours while the review is completed. See Anti-fraud below.
Compatibility and updates
Our plugins are built for the current versions of WordPress and WooCommerce and for current versions of modern browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. We do not support Internet Explorer.
A yearly license includes one year of updates and support from the date of purchase. A lifetime license includes updates and support for the lifetime of the product (see Lifetime license). If a yearly license is not renewed, the plugin keeps working on the sites where it is installed; you only lose access to new updates and to Pro support until you renew.
Modifications
You are free to modify our plugins to fit your store. A few suggestions make that smoother:
- Check the documentation first. Many changes already have a setting or a documented approach in our docs.
- Ask us. A short message through our contact page may turn up a simpler way to get what you need.
- Keep changes outside the plugin. Use hooks, filters, a child theme or a small custom plugin for your PHP, JavaScript and CSS, so updates do not overwrite your work.
If the plugin’s core files are edited directly, we cannot provide support for problems that follow from those edits.
Unauthorized use
You may not resell, redistribute or sublicense our Pro plugins or their license keys as your own product or service. We may suspend or close an account if we find a license is being misused or the account is being used in a way that harms InnoCodia or its customers.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything done with it. If you notice any unauthorized use of your account, let us know straight away.
Licensing
All InnoCodia WordPress plugins are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2+). Your license key gives you access to updates and support for the number of sites your plan covers.
Age requirements
By using our products, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old, or of the age of majority where you live; or
- you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian if you are a minor; and
- you have read and agree to these terms.
Our products are not intended for children. Anyone under the age of 13 may not use them.
Support policy
We want every store running our plugins to work well. Here is what support includes and how to get it.
Language
Support is provided in English.
Priority
Customers with an active paid license get priority support for as long as the license is valid. Users of the free plugins are supported on the WordPress.org forums.
Channels
Pro customers can reach us by email through our contact page. Free users can post on each plugin’s WordPress.org support forum. We do not provide support through social media messages. Before writing in, please check the documentation — the answer is often already there.
Supported versions
The minimum WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions for each plugin are listed on its WordPress.org page. We support those versions and later.
What support covers
- Installing and activating our plugins.
- Errors that appear on a fresh installation of a supported WordPress version.
- Questions about using our plugins that the documentation does not answer.
- Fixing features of our plugins that do not work as described.
What support does not cover
- Damage caused by hacks or other security incidents.
- Problems caused by outdated PHP, MySQL or server software.
- Copies of our plugins obtained anywhere other than innocodia.com, Freemius or WordPress.org.
- Conflicts caused by third-party themes or plugins, beyond pointing you to the cause where we can.
- Cases where we cannot get the access we need to investigate, such as your site’s URL or a WordPress admin login.
- Problems caused by custom changes to our plugins’ code.
- Internet Explorer.
Customization requests
Support and customization are different things. If a change needs only a few lines of CSS, we will usually help. Larger customizations are outside support; you can suggest them as a feature request, or hire a developer for them.
Anti-fraud
Some purchases are held for a manual anti-fraud check before the payment is confirmed. This protects our customers from purchases made with stolen cards. If your order is reviewed you will be told by email, and your order or account may be on hold for up to 24 hours, or longer if the review needs more information.
Changes to products and prices
We may change, suspend or discontinue any product or feature, and change our prices, at any time. A price change never affects an order you have already paid for.
Refunds
Paid plugins can be refunded within 30 days of the first purchase in the situations set out in our Refund Policy, which also explains when a refund is not available and how to request one.
You can try the free version of each plugin on WordPress.org before buying, and our team is happy to confirm whether Pro does what you need before you purchase.
Warranty
Our products are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. They are designed to work correctly when installed, activated and configured on a supported version of WordPress and WooCommerce. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party theme, plugin or browser combination.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InnoCodia is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, our products.
Images and fonts
Any stock images, icons or fonts shown in our demos or screenshots are for demonstration only and are not included in your license. If you want to use them on a live site, you need to license them from their owners.
Lifetime license
“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not the lifetime of the buyer or any other period. A lifetime license includes updates and support for as long as we continue to develop and sell that product.
